A Little Care for Cozy Knits
A little extra care helps your dog’s favorite knitwear stay soft, comfortable, and beautiful for longer.
Keep it soft, cozy & ready for the next walk
Knitted garments deserve a little extra care. Gentle hand washing, careful drying and proper storage help preserve their shape, softness and beautiful texture.
8 simple care rules
A few gentle habits can help your dog’s knitwear stay soft, comfortable and beautiful for many adventures together.
Hand wash only
Wash gently by hand using cool or lukewarm water and a mild detergent suitable for delicate fabrics.
Recommended temperature: up to 30°C / 86°F.Do not twist or wring
Gently press out excess water. Twisting wet knitwear can stretch the fibers and change the garment’s shape.
Dry flat
Reshape the garment while damp and lay it flat on a clean towel away from direct heat.
Skip the tumble dryer
High heat and tumbling can shrink, stretch or damage delicate knitted fibers.
Avoid harsh products
Do not use bleach or aggressive stain removers. Choose a gentle detergent for delicate fabrics.
Store folded
Keep knitwear clean and completely dry, then store it folded rather than hanging.
No washing machine
Do not machine wash knitted garments. Even gentle or wool cycles may stretch, shrink or distort the knit.
Hand washing is the safest choice for your AFAFKA knitwear.Steam, don’t iron
Do not press a hot iron directly onto knitted fabric. Direct heat and pressure may flatten the texture or damage the fibers.
If needed, use gentle steam without touching the knit with the iron.
Wash with a gentle touch
Fill a clean basin with cool or lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild detergent.
Place the garment in the water and gently move it around without rubbing, scrubbing or stretching the knit.
- Hand wash only — do not use a washing machine.
- Use cool or lukewarm water.
- Choose detergent for delicate fabrics.
- Avoid rubbing, twisting and pulling.
Reshape & dry flat
After rinsing, gently press the garment between your hands to remove excess water. Do not twist or wring it.
Place it on a clean dry towel, carefully return it to its natural shape and allow it to air dry flat.
- Keep away from radiators and heaters.
- Avoid strong direct sunlight.
- Do not hang while wet.
- Do not use a tumble dryer.
Wash only when needed
Your dog’s knitwear does not always need a full wash after every wear.
For small marks, gently spot clean the area with cool water and a mild detergent. Let the garment air out naturally before storing it.
- Spot clean small marks first.
- Allow the garment to air between wears.
- Wash fully only when necessary.
Use gentle steam — never direct ironing
If your knitwear needs a little smoothing, use gentle steam from a short distance and allow the fibers to relax naturally.
Never press the hot soleplate of an iron directly against the knitted fabric.
- Use gentle steam only when needed.
- Keep the iron or steamer slightly away from the knit.
- Never press a hot iron directly onto the garment.
- Let the garment cool and dry flat afterward.
A little “no” goes a long way
These simple precautions help protect the shape, softness and texture of knitted garments.
Store your knitwear with care
Make sure the garment is completely clean and dry before putting it away.
Fold knitwear gently and store it in a dry place. Avoid leaving knitted garments hanging for long periods, as this may gradually stretch the shoulders and body.
Loved, worn & cared for
